Hydrology

Welcome to the Department of Hydrology and Water Resources Management at CAU Kiel, Germany

We dealing with basic research in hydrology and water resources management in rural areas.

Our main research topics are:
  • Water balance calculation and modelling
  • Modelling of river basins and catchment hydrology
  • Analysis and modelling of water quality and water protection strategies
  • Modelling the impact of land use change
  • Measurement and modelling of soil erosion
  • Strategies for flood protection measures on the field
 Wutach canyon

We offer courses for students in agricultural sciences, geography and biology on hydrology and water ecology.
